TROK ENGINE - Quick start 1. Extract the complete archive and launch the editor executable. 2. Choose English in the welcome dialog. Select Quick start tutorial. 3. Move Mira with the horizontal slider or by dragging her on the stage. 4. Click Next; edit the first line, then edit the first choice on the next step. 5. Click Play. Advance through the dialogue and pick either ending. Click Back to editor to leave the preview. 6. Click Next, then Save learning copy. Choose a new .novel filename. 7. Choose Open learning copy in editor to continue editing, or Done to return to your previous project. You can leave the tutorial at any time. The tutorial is optional. It does not replace the current project, its recovery backup, or game save slots. Changing its text never changes the supplied sample. The welcome screen is shown once per profile; reopen it from the project menu (three dots) > Learning and help. Existing projects can still be recovered. Create a game - New project starts empty. Scene controls edit the background and objects. - The script panel selects lines; their text is edited in the inspector. - Story connects scenes and choices. Inventory defines items. Interface edits game appearance. Editor language does not translate your authored story. - Play checks your work. Save project writes a .novel file and its resource folder. Save as creates another project file; keep its resources beside it. - Build game > Choose folder and build produces a Windows game folder. Launch Game.exe from that folder and verify choices, saves, audio and UI. - Preview 0.x is free, with all current tools and no Demo watermark. Current technical limit: 300 scenes. No activation or expiry; commercial games are permitted without royalties. See TROK-PREVIEW-LICENSE.txt. Downloaded 0.x remains usable after 1.0. Demo and paid Full arrive at 1.0. Transfer and backup Keep My Story.novel and My Story.novel.resources together under the same names. Move them to a new folder together and reopen the .novel file to check assets.
